He Lives in You is very good (video contains possible spoilers?), able to hold its own with Lion King 1 music. But if you want you can just check out the songs on youtube. ![]() At the very least it makes for a well animated musical. It's not essential viewing, and isn't a very necessary sequel, but I don't think it ruins anything. Find where to watch The Lion King (2019) in New Zealand. ![]() It ain't no Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas, but it's no Toy Story 2. Admittedly, I haven't seen it in a while, and I don't think anyone would call it a "great" movie, but from what I remember it's okay. Where The Lion King is Hamlet, The Lion King 2 is Romeo and Juliet. Great at times, with a few songs even making it into the live Broadway show. It's not neeeearly as good as The Lion King, easily in the Top 5 animated films ever, but the music is pretty good. Out of all the Disney animated sequels I've seen that aren't Pixar and that are sequels of The Big 4 Renaissance films (Mermaid, Beast, Aladdin, Lion King), Lion King 2 is the only one I can think of that didn't make me want to shove a knife down my throat.
